Door Alignment With Card Pockets

A double-door structure exposes both labels at once. It also gives you the inside of the doors as a printable surface. Buyers use that space for origin, vintage, serving notes, or a client-specific message. For corporate gifting, the opening moment is the product. Card-pocket layers affect door alignment.

A pocket built close to the closing edge lifts that door once a card is inserted, and the two doors no longer meet evenly. We move the pocket's fixing layer away from the closing edge so the card adds no thickness at the seam. This will not show up on an empty sample. We check closure with the actual card fitted.

Board and Insert Structure

The board is 1400 g greyboard with 157 g textured facing. Inside, a velvet-lined EVA insert has two separate wells, located at shoulder and base, with a divider between bottles. Two-bottle boxes should never rely on insert friction alone. The wells and divider work together to keep bottles from touching during handling.

Production Consistency

Consistency control starts with Pantone matching, first-article approval, and in-run sampling. We also match magnet strength on both doors so the opening feels the same left to right. Our control tolerance is plus or minus 1 mm on inserts and plus or minus 2 mm on the box body.

Colour Notes for Corporate Runs

The same box body often serves several corporate clients with only the card changed. Black, deep blue and burgundy are the hardest colours to hold consistent across a run. We use Pantone matching, first-article approval, and in-run sampling to control those shades.
