Custom Wine Box Manufacturing

Custom wine boxes start with your bottle, your design, and your quantity. We take it through eight steps: consultation, design confirmation, plate making, printing, lamination, box making, hand assembly, and inspection. You approve at each stage. Nothing moves forward until you sign off. That's how we keep the project clean.

Eight steps from brief to shipment

Online consultation

You tell us what you need: box type, material, dimensions, quantity, and any special requirements. We ask about your bottle shape, target market, and budget. You decide what's flexible and what's fixed.

Design confirmation

We turn your brief into a structural drawing and a visual mock-up. You review the layout, logo placement, and insert design. You approve the drawing or request changes.

Plate making and proofing

We make printing plates and produce a physical proof. You check colors, text, and artwork against your reference. You sign off on the proof before we print.

Machine printing

Your design goes onto the facing paper or board. We hold Pantone matching and run mid-run sampling. You don't need to do anything here, but we flag any color drift immediately.

Machine lamination

We apply the lamination: gloss, matte, soft-touch, or none. You decide the finish based on feel and durability. This step protects the print and changes the surface texture.

Machine box making

The laminated sheets are die-cut, creased, and folded into box bodies. For rigid boxes, this includes wrapping greyboard. You approve the box structure sample before this step starts.

Hand assembly

Inserts are fitted, magnets placed, and boxes glued or folded. Hand assembly checks bottle fit at four points. You don't decide anything here, but this is where we catch most dimensional errors.

Quality inspection and packing

Every box goes through our in-house checks: drop test, stacking, vibration simulation. You receive a pre-shipment report with photos. You approve the final packing method before shipping.

What to Send Us

  • Box dimensions or a bottle sample
  • Reference design or artwork files
  • Quantity you need
  • Special requirements: insert type, magnet, foil stamping, embossing

Two Sample Types

You can get a blank sample or a printed sample. A blank sample shows the box structure, material thickness, insert fit, and closure. It's for checking how the bottle sits and how the box opens. A printed sample shows the actual artwork, colors, lamination, and finishing on the real material. It's for final visual approval. Most buyers order a blank sample first, then a printed sample before mass production. We recommend both if your design has tight color tolerances or if the box is a new structure.

Payment and Shipping

We accept T/T and PayPal. Production starts after deposit confirmation. Shipping is by air, sea, or express. You choose the method based on your timeline and freight budget. We pack boxes flat or assembled, depending on the structure and your warehouse needs.

What Makes a Project Run Cleanly

The biggest delay we see is a bottle sample that doesn't match the production run. Send us the exact bottle, not a similar one. Shoulder height, neck length, and base diameter all affect the insert. A 2 mm difference in bottle diameter can mean the insert holds too tight or too loose. We build inserts to a plus or minus 1 mm tolerance, so your bottle data has to be right. If you can't send a bottle, give us measured dimensions from the actual production bottle, not from a catalogue.

Color is the second biggest issue. Black, deep blue, and burgundy are the hardest to hold across a run. They show every variation in ink density and lamination. We use Pantone matching and first-article approval, but you need to understand that dark solid colors will shift slightly between batches. If your brand is strict, ask for a printed sample and keep it as your reference. We match to that sample, not to your screen. Also, don't approve a digital proof for color. It's for layout only.

Buyer questions

How do I know the box will protect my bottle during shipping?

We run our in-house checks on every order: a 1.2 m six-face drop test with the bottle loaded, stacking top load of 40 kg or more for 24 hours, and truck and sea vibration simulation. The bottle must not move inside the insert. If it does, we adjust the insert before mass production.

What if my bottle shape is unusual?

Send us the bottle. We design the insert around it, usually with a four-point hold: neck, shoulder, mid-body, and base. No unsupported neck or shoulder. We test by shaking for 10 seconds, tilting 45 degrees, and inverting. If the bottle moves, we rework the insert.

Can you match a specific color on the box?

Yes, we use Pantone matching. You give us the Pantone number or a physical sample. We make a proof for approval. Dark solid colors like black, deep blue, and burgundy are harder to hold perfectly across a long run, so we recommend a printed sample as your reference.
