How it's built

The body is PU leather over cardboard. PU gives the leather look and feel without the cost or care of real hide. Cardboard keeps the shape and weight down. The clasp is metal and magnetic. The handle is PU, stitched or bonded in place. Corners are cut and folded so the box erects square.

Because it folds flat, the creases matter. Our foldable boxes are checked so creases don't crack when you open them up. Magnet position is held to plus or minus 1 mm. Corners should sit at 90 degrees once erected. If a crease cracks or a magnet sits off, the box looks cheap and the clasp won't hold.

How the bottle fits

The interior is sized to your bottle dimensions. You send us the bottle or its measurements and we set the cavity so the bottle sits snug, not rattling. The magnetic clasp holds the lid down, but the fit is what stops the bottle moving inside. We check that with three tests: shake for 10 seconds, no movement. Tilt 45 degrees, no slide. Invert, no release. If the bottle moves, we adjust the insert or cavity. The handle is positioned so the box hangs level when carried. A bottle that shifts will eventually wear through the PU or pop the clasp. That's the failure we design out.

Can the handle support a full bottle?

Yes. The PU handle is fixed to the cardboard body and tested with a loaded bottle. We check the box by carrying it filled and by inverting it. The handle is not decorative; it is meant to carry the weight of one bottle.

Does the box come assembled or flat?

It ships flat to you. You erect it before filling. The creases are made to fold without cracking, and the magnetic clasp is positioned so it aligns when the box is up. If you want them pre-assembled, we can do that, but most buyers take them flat to save freight.

What finishes can I put on the PU leather?
