Customisation

To match your brand, you can change the felt color. For a specific bottle, you can adjust the bag's size. And there are three ways to add your logo: silk screen, hot stamping, or embroidery. While the embossed wine glass pattern is standard, we can swap in a different emboss or leave the surface plain. Handle length is also adjustable, whether you want shoulder carry or hand carry.

How the bag is built

Cut from one piece of thick felt, the body has no side seams that might split. The bottom is folded and stitched flat, so when you set the bag down, it stands on its own. A floppy bag looks cheap on a retail shelf or tasting table, and this one doesn't.

But carrying by hand is one thing, and shipping is another: this bag is not a shipping container and won't survive a drop.

Can the felt bag hold a magnum or other oversized bottle?

A magnum, which has nearly twice the volume of a standard wine bottle, will not fit in the standard bag. Send us your bottle dimensions or a sample if you need a larger version. The height and diameter are all we need to adjust the pattern.

How is the logo applied to the felt?

We offer silk screen, hot stamping, and embroidery, each with trade-offs. If you have a simple one- or two-color logo, silk screen is the most cost effective. For a metallic or foil finish that stands out on dark felt, pick hot stamping. And among the three, embroidery has the most texture and durability, though it works best for simple shapes and small text.

Will the felt bag protect a bottle during shipping?

No, shipping with it isn't a good idea. Thick enough to prevent scratches and minor bumps, the felt still has no rigid structure. A courier drop or stacked boxes can break the bottle. For shipping, you'd want our wine shipping boxes with foam or pulp inserts. This bag is meant for carrying and gifting, not transport.
