Black Cardstock Wine Bag with Red Gold Foil Stamping
This is a single-bottle paper wine bag cut from 210g black cardstock. The face carries a red and gold foil pattern of wine bottles and glasses. You get a three-strand rope handle, so it won't bite into your hand when the bottle is heavy. It's a retail-ready gift bag for wine shops, wineries, and corporate gifting. Because we run our own printing and finishing, the foil registration stays clean across a run. You can order it in our stock size or send your own dimensions. We also print your logo, change the foil colour, or swap the cardstock weight if your bottle is heavier than usual.
- 210g black cardstock. Thick enough to hold a full 750ml bottle without sagging at the base. The black surface gives the red and gold foil a clean contrast.
- Red and gold foil stamping. The wine bottle and glass pattern is applied with hot foil, not ink. It won't rub off in transit and it catches the light on a retail shelf.
- Three-strand rope handle. Three twisted strands spread the load across your hand. The handle is anchored through reinforced holes, so it won't tear out when the bag is carried by the top.
- Stock size available. We keep 12 x 9 x 35 cm bags in stock, assorted styles. If your bottle is taller or wider, we cut the cardstock to your dimensions.
- OEM printing. Your logo, a different pattern, or a full wrap print can replace the standard foil design. We match Pantone references and send a physical sample before the run.

Customisation
You can change the size, the cardstock weight, the foil colour, and the print. Send your logo in vector format and we'll set it on the front panel. Red gold or bright gold foil are both available. If you want a different pattern, we can draw one from your reference. We also print the inside of the bag or add a small card pocket. A blank sample is available before the production run, and we send a printed sample too.
How the bag is built
The body is a single sheet of 210g black cardstock, creased and folded into a gusseted bag. The gusset opens to fit a standard wine bottle, and the bottom is glued with a reinforced base panel. You won't feel the bottle shift when you set the bag down.
The foil pattern is stamped after printing, so the red and gold sit slightly raised on the black surface. We keep our control tolerance for foil position at plus or minus 1 mm. If you order a custom size, we adjust the handle placement and the gusset depth so the bottle still sits upright.
How the bottle sits
This bag is cut for one standard 750ml bottle. The 12 x 9 cm base gives the bottle a flat seat, and the 35 cm height leaves enough room to fold the top over without crushing the neck. If you're putting a Burgundy or sparkling bottle in it, tell us before we cut the cardstock. Those bottles have wider shoulders and need a deeper gusset. We check every batch by loading a bottle, shaking it for 10 seconds, tilting it 45 degrees, and inverting it. No movement, no slide, no release. If the bag fails any of those, it doesn't ship.
Where it gets used
Wine shops use it as a counter bag when a customer buys a single bottle. Wineries put it in tasting rooms. Corporate buyers use it for client gifts, especially when the bag matches the box. It's the wrong choice if you're shipping bottles. This is a carry bag, not a shipping container. It won't survive a courier drop. For shipping, you need a corrugated box with a pulp or foam insert. But for hand delivery, a shelf display, or a gift table, this bag does the job without a box.
Buyer questions
Can you make this bag for a magnum or a larger bottle?
Yes. We cut the cardstock to your bottle dimensions. Send us the bottle height and diameter, and we'll adjust the gusset depth and handle length. A magnum needs a wider base and a longer handle, so the bag doesn't tip over when you set it down.
Will the foil rub off if the bags are stacked in storage?
No. The foil is hot stamped onto the cardstock, not printed. It bonds into the surface. We've stacked these bags in our warehouse and shipped them by sea. The foil stays intact as long as the bags are not folded against each other face to face.
What if my bottle has a wider shoulder, like a Burgundy?
Tell us before we cut. We'll widen the gusset at the top, so the shoulder doesn't catch on the cardstock. We test with your actual bottle shape, not a generic cylinder. If the bag doesn't pass our shake, tilt, and invert checks, we recut it.
