Luxury Wooden Wine Box with High Gloss Lacquer Finish

This four-bottle wooden wine box carries a mirror-gloss lacquer finish. The body is fine-grain wood, polished to a deep shine. Inside, each bottle sits in a velvet-covered EVA foam tray. A gold-tone handle and latch keep it easy to carry. Wineries, private-label brands, and corporate gifting teams who need a presentation piece that looks expensive and survives transit: this is for you. It takes four standard bottles, and it's compact enough for a sales rep to carry into a meeting. Because the lacquer is multi-layer, it resists scratches better than a single coat.

  • High-gloss lacquer finish. Multi-layer piano paint gives a mirror-like shine. It holds up to handling without dulling.
  • Fine-grain wood body. The wood is dense and stable, so the box keeps its shape. No flex at the corners.
  • Velvet-lined foam insert. High-density EVA foam with a soft velvet cover. The bottle doesn't touch wood or hardware.
  • Gold-tone hardware. A metal handle and secure latch. They're fitted after lacquering, so the finish stays clean.
  • Laser-engraved branding. Gold foil logo or design elements go directly on the lid. It reads as part of the box, not a sticker.

Customisation

You can change the wood species, the lacquer colour, the interior foam layout, and the hardware finish. The velvet colour is also your call. Laser engraving is the standard branding method, but we can also do foil stamping on a recessed plate. If your bottle is taller or wider than standard, send us the dimensions and we'll adjust the insert.

How the box is built

The body starts as fine-grain wood, cut and assembled before finishing. Then the lacquer goes on in multiple layers, each one polished before the next. That's what creates the depth. It also means the surface is harder than a single-spray finish. The corners are tight, and the lid seats cleanly on the base.

The insert is a separate piece. High-density EVA foam is CNC-cut to the bottle profile, then wrapped in velvet. The foam compresses slightly when the bottle is pressed in, so there's no rattle. The tray lifts out if you want to use the box for something else later. The handle and latch are mounted with screws, not glue.

How bottles sit inside

Each bottle rests in its own cavity in the foam tray. The foam grips the bottle at the shoulder and base, not just the middle. That's the four-point hold we use on all inserts. Before the box ships, we run the same checks on every order: shake it for ten seconds and listen for movement, tilt it 45 degrees and watch for sliding, then invert it completely. If the bottle moves at any point, the insert gets recut. The velvet cover keeps the glass from rubbing against foam during transport.

Where this box fits

This box suits premium single-bottle or multi-bottle gifts, VIP client presentations, duty-free sets and limited releases. It reads as a keepsake, so buyers often reuse it. Winery tasting rooms use it for top-tier bottles. Corporate buyers use it for executive gifts. It's not the right choice for high-volume shipping. The lacquer and wood make it heavier and more expensive than a rigid cardboard box. If you need something for a courier to throw around, look at our shipping boxes instead.

Buyer questions

Can the insert hold bottles of different shapes?

Yes. The foam is cut to your bottle's profile. We need the bottle dimensions or a sample bottle to get the neck and shoulder right. The four-point hold still applies, so the bottle won't tilt or slide.

Will the lacquer crack if the box is dropped?

The multi-layer lacquer is more flexible than a single thick coat, but wood and lacquer can still chip under hard impact. For transit, we recommend a fitted outer carton. Our in-house drop test covers a 1.2 m fall with bottles loaded.

Is the velvet insert removable for cleaning?

Yes, the tray lifts out. You can wipe the wood interior with a dry cloth. The velvet cover is glued to the foam, so spot clean only. Don't soak it.
